    Position Responsibilities:
    • Provide hosting information, upgrade options, pricing, and account information to existing/prospective clients via phone, live chat services, and email in a patient, cordial, and friendly manner.
    • Provide information about domain hosting: domain registrations, transfers.
    • Submit FAQ suggestions to Team Leaders/Manager as appropriate.
    • Document customer-related information into tracking software in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Re-route customer calls to Sales or Billing Teams as appropriate.

    We are looking for an experienced software engineer with creative ability to deliver web/system solutions to our customers to "Do More with Less."
    Position Summary:
    We are looking for an experienced software engineer with creative ability to deliver web/system solutions to our customers to "Do More with Less." You will work within a team environment, designing and building software solution to deploy simple solutions to resolve complicated requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web application development, including business and functional requirements, in order to meet the demands of our large-scale customer base.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Participate in design and analysis to the development, implementation and modification of web/system applications.
    • Convert system designs and technical specifications into program code
    • Perform Quality Assurance testing to ensure business requirements, system designs, and technical specifications are met.
    • Maintain and document code, including program specification and logic flowcharts.

    Requirements:
    • Minimum 3 years of web applications/service development experience in Unix/Linux environment
    • Excellent working knowledge with SQL and RDBMS (e.g. PostregSQL)
    • In depth working knowledge of Perl programming language
    • Extensive knowledge of one or more of XML/XSLT, REST and SOAP

    Netfirms is seeking a Unix System Administrator who can handle a variety of sysadmin administrative duties with the highest degree of professionalism and courtesy.
    Key Accountabilities:
    • Tier 4 level operational support for system's infrastructure, including applications, servers, storage/backups, network and data center.
    • Participate in the on-call rotation for after hours incident resolution
    • Maintain and champion enterprise standards, including system administration policies and practices.
    • Participate in the design and implementation of projects, collaborate regularly with colleagues both inside and outside project delivery teams
    • Build and configure servers, network and storage devices with proper monitoring.
    • Documentation and Maintenance of Infrastructure Systems to ensure total availability

    Position Requirements:
    • Hands on experience installing and configuring server Hardware - Intel, AMD. Strong knowledge of virtualization, kvm, virtuozzo.
    • Strong hands on experience with Linux and BSD, proficient with shell and perl scripting.
    • Experience in routing and internet protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, VPN, Firewalls, Security
    • Experience working with Cisco switches and routers.

    Qualifications:
    • 5+ years in the operational support of data centers. With detailed and solid experience in a combination of many of the following areas - infrastructure design, Data Center technologies including virtualization, storage and convergence, Cloud computing, Data Center and Server Room unique requirements.
    • Possess solid analytical and trouble shooting skills
    • Experience in complex computing and networking environment, large scale hosting systems, racking and cabling standards
    • High level of technical ability, demonstrated by knowledge of server/networking hardware, data facilities/data centre hardware and engineering design and Telecom
    • Strong knowledge of UNIX/LINUX operating systems
    • Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Science) or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired
